How many kinds of plastic raw materials do you know?
Name: Polyethylene
English: Polyethylene
Distinction: Polyethylene is a white or transparent high molecular material with excellent flexibility, pressure resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and thermal insulation properties.
Advantages: Lightweight, non-toxic, tasteless, with good chemical stability and electrical insulation, good processing performance, can be made into various shaped products.
Disadvantages: Poor heat resistance, can only reach about 80℃, relatively low mechanical strength.
Name: Polypropylene
English: Polypropylene
Distinction: Polypropylene is a white semi-transparent high molecular material with excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance, tensile strength, hardness and rigidity.
Advantages: Good heat resistance, up to 120℃, resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, not easy to release harmful substances, stable chemical properties, good electrical insulation, good resistance to chemical corrosion.
Disadvantages: Insufficient rigidity, flammable, large shrinkage rate.
Name: Polyethylene Terephthalate
English: Polyethylene terephthalate
Distinction: PET is a transparent high molecular material with excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance, tensile strength and rigidity.
Advantages: Recyclable, excellent chemical resistance, hard and durable, good pressure resistance.
Disadvantages: Poor heat resistance, can only reach about 70℃, easy to deform, harmful substances may leach out, not suitable for repeated use.
Name: Polyvinyl Chloride
English: Polyvinyl chloride
Distinction: PVC is a white or transparent high molecular material with excellent corrosion resistance, sound insulation, thermal insulation, flexibility and plasticity.
Advantages: Has excellent electrical insulation and chemical resistance, good with glue decomposition, resistant to acid and alkali (except strong nitric acid), good dielectric properties, easy to form.
Disadvantages: Low mechanical properties, flexibility, elongation, impact resistance, transparency, etc. are better than low-pressure polyethylene.
Name: Polycarbonate
English: Polycarbonate
Distinction: PC is an excellent thermoplastic engineering plastic with outstanding impact resistance, good creep resistance and dimensional stability, heat resistance, low water absorption, non-toxic and good dielectric properties.
Advantages: Good transparency, strong impact resistance, good heat resistance, high dimensional stability, good processing performance.
Disadvantages: Relatively high price, not as good chemical resistance as some other plastics.
Name: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
English: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
Distinction: ABS is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with good comprehensive performance, with good impact resistance, low-temperature performance, chemical resistance and electrical insulation.
Advantages: Strong impact resistance, good low-temperature performance, excellent chemical resistance, good electrical insulation, good processing performance.
Disadvantages: Relatively low heat resistance, easy to age with long-term use
